EAR – 1st High School of Gerakas

Overview

The second training session within the framework of the European program ACAδIMIA – «ACADIMIA-European Teachers’ Academy for Creative and Inclusive Learning» – was conducted using the creative learning method EAR, which is based on dialectical and theatrical techniques, for the teachers of the 1st High School of Gerakas on the 30th of January 2025.

The session began with homogeneous circles, focusing on social and educational topics that the teachers discussed in pairs. This was followed by a brief presentation of the EAR educational methodology.

In the final part of the session, participants formed three groups and worked on three techniques:

• Fishbowl • Consciousness Corridor • Forum Theatre

Before applying these techniques, the teachers discussed the definitions of the topics they explored. At the end of the session, they reflected on how they could implement these methods in their teaching. They expressed that they particularly enjoyed the seminar.

Training of educators of 2nd High and 2nd Senior School of Gerakas

Director Mr. Kamtsis, from the Center for Popular Theater Studies, after mentioning the advantages of Art in education to the eduacators of the 2nd High and the 2nd Senior School of Geraka, he held an experiential workshop on the topic of rising water, based on Delacroix's painting "Christ at the Lake of Nazareth". Subsequently, Ms. Pertsinidou presented the 11 educational courses that were created and implemented in STEM courses using the Creative STEAM method b y teachers of the 2nd High School of Gerakas during the period 2021-2023 within the framework of the EuropeanCreative STEAM program.
