A training session was held within the framework of the European program
ACAδIMIA – ACADIMIA: European Teachers’ Academy for Creative and Inclusive
Learning, focusing on the creative learning method of Strength-Based Learning
(SBL). This method empowers young people to utilize their strengths and talents throughout the learning process and is grounded in the principles of positive psychology, self-regulated learning and collaborative work.
The session took place on November 28 th 2025 and was attended by teachers from the 2nd Junior High Schools of Gerakas.
After an introduction to the SBL method, the teachers were divided into groups and worked with activity sheets, exploring how to combine the following three guiding questions:
1. What am I doing?
2. How shall I do it?
3. How do I ask for help and feedback?
It quickly became evident that each group had chosen a different learning path — precisely what the method is designed to encourage.
A brief overview of the ACAΔΙΜΙΑ methods — EAR, Drama in Education, Gamification, Digital Storytelling and Creative STEAM — was also provided to introduce these approaches to the new teachers who had not participated in last year’s seminars.
